Mark Simons Sawmilling sits on South Main Street in Nephi, Utah, with a yard full of salvaged hardwood and one of the larger sawmill setups in the western United States. We take the trees other operations turn away — the oversized, the gnarly, the storm-felled — and open them up to reveal the grain inside.
